This wine was born from a hot, dry season with close to no rain throughout summer. These conditions resulted in a low yield with a late February pick. This produced a wine with intense aromas of apricot, hints of citrus and honeysuckle. The flavours are quite textural, even chalky at times. On the palate you’ll find citrus, apple, apricot with long lemon curd finish.
From the wine maker:
Picked at 11 Baume with a pH of 3.3 and TA of 7.2. Cooled overnight in picking bins before being destemmed and pressed to a mix of stainless and mature French oak. Matured over 9 months, hand bottled at the estate.
