Our 2019 shiraz reserve is our special release every year, made from only the best fruit from within our vineyard. This year the wine is backed by aromas of truffle, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper. The palate is packed with blackberries, dark plums, and cured leather together with a dash of pannacotta which perfectly rounds it all out.

2019 was a warm and dry season, with good rainfall in December which helped carry the vines through January and get over the early heat. It was somewhat difficult to predict with intermittent heat spikes followed by cool changes, because of this the wines have tended towards having great structure and a fine delicacy. it was an extremely compressed harvest with exceptional quality.

Handpicked, 50% crushed and destemmed with 50% whole bunch placed on top and the tank then sealed to produce a semi-carbonic fermentation for 10 days. Following this, the ferment was hand plunged once a day for a further 10 days. Basket pressed after 20 days and aged in old French oak for 10 months
