Our 2011 cellar release shiraz is at its prime drinking age having 7 years to add depth and complexity to the wine, showing aromas of black cherry, liquorice, leather and a slight Smokey meatiness. Rich dark plum, black cherry and liquorice flavours are wrapped up in a supplely textured mouthfeel with smoked meat characters and hints black pepper. Excellent concentration and richness with solidly built but velvety tannins.

2011 was a tough growing season for most of Victoria, we had a very wet spring and summer this meant that there was lots of disease pressure in the vineyard and a 20% loss of fruit. We were a lot luckier than most of Victoria and the fruit we were able to get off shows lots of spice and excellent tannin levels.
